48 hours in Medellín
Galleries, cafés, studios, architecture and independent culture: a way into the city.

Medellín is best understood on foot. Two days are enough to cross from the calm of El Poblado to the energy of Laureles and come back with a list of places you won't find in any guidebook.
Day one, morning: single-origin coffee in Provenza, a visit to the Museum of Modern Art and lunch in Ciudad del Río. Afternoon: an independent gallery in Manila and a ceramics workshop by appointment.
Day two starts early at the Botanical Garden, continues downtown along a modern-architecture route and ends on a terrace overlooking the city, five minutes from the hotel.
